President Mubarak received Egypt’s ambassador to the USA Mr. Nabeel Fahmy who commented that he submitted to Mubarak a report around Egyptian/American ties including the US conceptualization of developments in the Middle East and particularly the peace process.

President Mubarak reviewed the legislative aspects of the draft banking law and several other legal related issues during a ministerial meeting.

President Mubarak in his address to the attendees of the  public conference held in Aswan warned against any military action in the Middle East which may have serious repercussions on the whole region as he explained.

President Mubarak along with PM Dr. Atef Ebeid, a number of ministers, senior state officials and a large crowd of people performed Eid prayer at Al Salam mosque in the Red Sea resort of Sharm El Sheikh.

President Hosni Mubarak refuted anti-Islam accusations that it inspires terrorism or is contrary to democratic ideals and human rights during a speech Sunday night on celebrations marking Lailatul-Qadr (the night in which the Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
