speech, Mubarak explained that the D 8 is looking forward for the transformation of
goals into tangible projects and programs. To this effect he introduced the relevant
guidelines aiming to elevate inter trade activities from 3.5% to 7% in the next five
years. He also called on fostering cooperation in the area of IT and communications giving
a special concern to the social aspect.
