President Mubarak held talks with Colonel Moa`amer Gaddafi leader of the Libyan revolution discussing bilateral relations, regional issues of mutual interest and important Arab causes toped with the deteriorated situation in the Palestinian territories.

President Mubarak and his Tunisian counterpart Zein Ela`abedeen Bin Ali held a joint summit as part of Mubarak’s tour in the North African region.

President Mubarak held a meeting with EU Foreign Affairs and Security Chief Javier Solana. The meeting was attended by EU Middle East peace envoy Miguel Moratinos, foreign minister Ahmed Maher, head of the peacekeeping force and the ambassadors of the eu and Denmark in Cairo.

President Mubarak opened the international highway on Egypt’s northern coast which extends from Port Said to Alexandria and links Egypt with a number of Arab countries. The 1050-kilometer-long road which goes through eight governorates to shorten distances and save energy had been constructed over three stages.

Mubarak attends celebrations marking armed forces victory. President Mubarak presided over a meeting of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces that was attended by Marshal Tantawi, the Chief of Staff and commanders of the main branches of the Armed Forces.  After the meeting, the President watched a show reviewing the stages of Egypt's great history in enriching human civilization and defending the homeland.

President Mubarak, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces laid a wreath on the tomb of late leader Gamal Abdel Nasser within the context of celebrations marking the 29th anniversary of glorious October war.

President Mubarak, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, laid today wreaths of flowers on the monument of the Unknown Soldier and the tomb of late President Anwar Sadat at Nasr City at the beginning of celebrations by Egypt and the Armed Forces marking the 29th anniversary of the glorious October 1973 victory.
