Peterson commented that he agrees with the Egyptian viewpoint stating the situation as dangerous and that Europe has to assume a significant role in the issue.

President Mubarak convened with Secretary General of the General People's committee for African Unity in Libya Ali Abdel Salam AL Turayki who delivered a message from Colonel Muammar Gaddafi Commander of the Libyan revolution inviting Mubarak to attend the of summit Al Sahel and Sahara countries to be held in Tripoli on 6 – 7 March.

Alfaysal commented after the meeting that he presented to Mubarak the establishment steps of the institution aiming to hold its first conference in Cairo next October.
